Summary/Abstract: In the article the author presents the preliminary results of her research project on blaxploitation movie‐going culture in Los Angeles in the 1970s oriented towards New Film History paradigm. The term blaxploitation describes the explosion of cheaply‐made black oriented b‐movies that was a consequence of grindhouse popularity and civil rights movement in the late 1960s.
