Summary/Abstract: In my paper I focused on the concept of quality TV drama, and on how it functions in reception by a Polish viewer. I also try to analyse inter relations between the high cultural capital of the viewers and the repertoire of their individual choice. I refer to the Breaking Bad series as the evidence of a trend towards sophisticated, difficult series, not appropriate for every viewer. I try to establish how Polish viewers function in terms of AngloSaxon TV series and how Polish journalism deals with writing on new generation TV series.
