Summary/Abstract: The virtue of honesty has a fundamental role in an educational process towards values. Honesty as a virtue is extremely important especially in the educational mission of a teacher. Therefore, the aim of this publication/article is to show the meaning of teacher`s honesty in the process of educating a student about values in the school environment. An honest teacher should accompany the student in discovering a way of life and help him to make good choices based on an objective hierarchy of values.
