Summary/Abstract: In this article we deal with imagined presentations of the studied literary pieces, for whose formation the socio-political context in which they were created plays a vital role. More specifically, this paper explores imaginary experiments with imagological characters, taken from the novels Sahib by Nenad Veličković and Nowhere Man by Aleksandar Hemon. The purpose of this paper is to initiate a change in the way Balkan and European cultures perceive each other, with the aim of correcting mutual negative stereotypes present in all sectors of life. This change of direction is difficult to establish, especially when taking into account the wide dispersion of stereotypes, their centuries-long persistence, and their function in considering the dissimilar as something strange and foreign.
