Summary/Abstract: Last year, the 135th anniversary of the birth and the 90th anniversary of taking the Primate's seat in Gniezno by Fr. Cardinal. August Hlond. On this occasion, researchers from the Upper Silesian Higher School of Pedagogy Fr.. Cardinal. Augusta Hlond in Mysłowice and the Department of Non-resident Humanities of the Ignatianum Academy in Krakow organized a scientific conference dedicated to the memory and work of this outstanding statesman under the slogan of Cardinal August Hlond, the Primate of Poland read aloud. It took place on December 9, 2016 in the hall of the Górnośląska Wyższa Szkoła Pedagogiczna im. Fr.. Cardinal. August Hlond in Mysłowice. As part of the conference, there were several thematic areas related to the life and activity of Fr. Cardinal. Hlonda. They concerned the educational and pastoral activities of the Primate, his pastoral teaching, patriotic attitude and the role he played in undertaking activities for the poorest, as well as administering the Polish Church.
