Summary/Abstract: The article presents the story of the cooperation between Jorge Luis Borges and Margarita Guerrero that resulted in the book called Book of Imaginary Beings. The author shows how the act of imagination results in actual experiences, therefore a book like the one coauthored by Borges and Guerrero can offer a valid model for interpreting the world, a model where imagination is not contrasted to reality, but to nothingness.
