Summary/Abstract: Reinhold Niebuhr, known as pastor of Bethel Evangelical Church, theologist, philosopher, political scientist and political activist had enormous influence on American political thought from the early 1920s to the early 1950s. He was able to successfully explain the roots of the atrocities of WW II and the Cold War period.
