Summary/Abstract: In this mostly theoretical paper we tried to explain and understand some parts of the demographic reality of Serbia. Before all, we recognized some issues and problems of demographic influences and changes in population structure on developing economy which is on very beginning of transition of economic system, and in the same time the end of demographic transition of a population as a system is long gone. What difficulties this misbalance between phases of development of population and economy is carrying, and what is in front of us, shinning future or blind alley for both of this systems, is an issue? Most attention is referred to fertility influence, in our case below replacement fertility, on age structure, and indirectly on labor potential, and consequentially on size and structure of labor to one economic system performances.
