Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the latest developments in technical assistance to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, as set out in the meetings of the Working Group of Government Experts on Technical Assistance of 6-7 October 2014 (Vienna). During the meetings items concerning the criminalization of participation in an organized criminal group (Article 5 of the Convention) and the liability of the legal persons (Article 10 of the Convention). The Working Group's recommendations on the criminalization of participation in an organized crime group (Article 5 of the Convention) and the liability of the legal person (Article 10 of the Convention) are also presented in the paper. The study concludes that the recommendations adopted by the Technical Assistance Group encourage co-operation between Member States or signatories to the Convention by strongly encouraging them to request or, as appropriate, provide technical assistance in key areas covered by the Convention.
