Summary/Abstract: In the geographical region of Mesopotamia where the rivers of Fırat and Dicle from fertile lands, the people dominated the agriculture by passing through the settled life. Activities started with dry farming have progressed thanks to discovery of irrigated agriculture. With the water channels dug in the South of Mesopotamia towards 6500 BC, it is easy to water the fields in remote places. The most important agricultural crops grown by Mesopotamia were barley and wheat, as well as crops such as lentils, chickpeas, dates, sesame, onions, garlic, grapes, line. The development of production has led to the emergence of a broad trade network for the discovery of raw materials or products not found in the region. Agricultural products played an important role in the trade among the civilizations of the Near East such as Mesopotamia, Anatolia, Egypt and Iran. Especially the caravan trade that the Assyrians made with Anatolia was a vital proposition for the two regions.
