Summary/Abstract: Max Weber is one of the most influential figures of sociology and political science and the basic foundation of different kinds of schools of thought in the twentieth century. He pioneered the criticisms towards Marxist understanding and pure empiricism. On the other hand, his thoughts provided a basis for the theories of the ‘uniqueness of the West’ and the ‘uniqueness of the East’. However, leave the critiques of Weber aside, even the lines of thought which claim to be inspired from Weber do not seem to grasp his approach clearly or correctly. The first step to understand a socio-political theory is meeting the methodological framework. Therefore, in my opinion, entering into the Weberian understanding of the world firstly necessitates grasping his methodology. This paper is an attempt to cover fundamental components of Weberian methodology.
