Summary/Abstract: The article describes and analyzes the idea of hybrid systems introduced to Polish Law by amended Renewable Energy Sources Act dated 22nd of June 2016. The application of hybrid systems will lead electricity producers to a bit closer free-market idea. Cheap but not always available electicity generated by wind power plants can be easily supplemented by biomass combustion installation or other technology. This will significantly rise the availability of the whole system resulting in wind farm generation uncertainty reduction and contributing to the increase of Poland's energy security.
