Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to analyze the possible scenarios of power industry development in Poland to the year 2050. The author reviewed the possible variants of development of the Polish electric power industry based on Government energy policy project. The Government project (still in preparation) provides three scenarios of the future power industry shape. The text is an attempt of evaluation the opportunities and risks associated with the possible implementation of the individual scenarios and the scale of the necessary investments.
