Summary/Abstract: The research results presented in the paper refer to main characteristics of anthropogeographic development of Negotinska Krajina from the first traces of settling to the beginning of the XX century. According to its position, historical-geographical continuity, demographic and spatial functional development, Krajina represents a complex territorial system, which is, in many ways, specific on the area of the northeastern part of Serbia.
