Summary/Abstract: This study was conducted to determine if there is a difference between the mobbing comprehension of the teachers working in primary schools and submissive behaviors according to variables such as gender, age and educational background. Within this purpose, correlation and descriptive survey model was used in the study. The population of the study was formed with the teachers working in Patnos district of Ağrı province in 2012-2013 academic years. The sample of the study was formed with 379 teachers selected easy sampling from 20 official primary schools in Patnos district of Ağrı province. Emotional Harassment Scale developed by Ocak (2005), Submissive Behaviour Scale developed by Gilbert ve Alan (1984), By Şahin ve Şahin (1992) adaptive Turkish version and personal information form developed by the researcher to determine the demographic information of the teachers were used in the study as data gathering tools. The obtained data was analyzed with statistical methods such as correlation, regression, t test and ANOVA. As a result of the study, it was found that most of the teachers experience mobbing, there is a positive and a low level relationship between mobbing and submissive behaviors, the mobbing comprehension of the teachers differs meaningfully according to variables such as gender, that they have submissive behaviors differs according to the variables such as gender.
