Summary/Abstract: A.P. Chekhov is one of the most respected writers in both Russian and world literature with what he brought to the literary world. The master of shortness (writing short) A.P. Chekhov at the same time by writing theatrical works played an important role in the foundation and development of the modern theatre. In his works, humour, sociological and social events and the circumstances of the period are all reflected. The examination of A.P. Chekhov’s story “the Good German (Добрый немец)”,which contains humorous elements more, in terms of the possibilities of modern semantics is the gist of our study.
