Summary/Abstract: The author dwells upon the problem about the human body as a natural starting and supporting point for singing. The latter is a result of the function of the sound forming organs in human body. Via singing the man partly changes his body to express himself. Teaching folk singing is an important stage in the mastery to command and control the singing human body. Special attention is drawn to some corporal coordinates of singing directly connected with the human practice of singing. According to data from field research, the informers outline the following corporal dimensions of singing: voice, throat, tongue, mouth and breathing. The article also examines given peculiarities of the complex of corporal postures, movements and gestures, grouped around singing in different folklore situations.
