Summary/Abstract: The paper presents changes in consumption in Polish households occurring in the context of internationalization and globalization of markets. The characteristics, forms and manifestations of consumption’s globalization as well as socio-economic determinants of private consumption and their influence on the consumption of food products, industrial goods and services were presented. Available statistics of GUS (Central Statistical Office) were used as a source.
