Summary/Abstract: Models for the restrained expansion strains under two-way restraint conditions both with their advantages and disadvantages are presented. An implementation of the modified strains development model (MSDM) for the assessment of the two-way restrained expansion strains is proposed. The reliability of the proposed model for the two-way restraint conditions is confirmed by the experimental results based on the tests of the expansive concrete plane specimens with the mesh reinforcement in the mid-depth of the cross section.
