Summary/Abstract: In 2016, the city of Timișoara has celebrated 300 years since its liberation from Ottoman rule by Prince Eugene of Savoy. A series of events and festivities has highlighted this significant event in the history of the city. This scientific work addresses the question of whether the Prince Eugene of Savoy is becoming a myth in Timisoara, as it is the case in Austria and if only the events organized contribute to this or also a discourse on the web and how great the role played by the latter is. The ethnographic method is combined with discourse analysis.
