Summary/Abstract: The reflections at hand are part of the modern discourse on the social approach to disability, where special attention is paid to the issue of citizenship and the realization of the rights of people with disabilities, including children. This article on the implementation of the rights of children with disabilities is to show, first of all, how Poland implements the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in the light of periodic reports on the implementation of the Convention. The analysis of the opinions of children with disabilities and their disability is to show how they understand the rights of the child that are most important to them and what are the barriers to implementing these rights in everyday life. The theoretical framework of the analysis is the basic thesis of the broader social-relational theories of disability with regard to the rights-based approach, as well as the modern concept of childhood.
