Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this article is to show to what extent Bulgarian National Television BNT as public channel enter into the role as public broadcaster, broadcasting tennis tournament„Roland Garos„. How the media BNT HD, meets the criteria of a public channel and covers the matches from Paris. Sport is a worldwide phenomenon that teaches a number of values. Open Championship of France is among the most important sporting events in the world. This year it involved three Bulgarians - Grigor Dimitrov and Tsvetana Pironkova and Sesil Karatancheva. Covering the event was one of the tasks of the public channel.
