Summary/Abstract: This article tackles the possibility of including a new field of research within the scope of legal theory, namely the communication of law. The legal sciences include the general theory of law, the sciences specific to various branches of law, the legal historical sciences and the auxiliary legal sciences. The issue regarding the communication of law has been studied before by renowned specialist in legal theory, such as Niklas Luhmann or Jurgen Habermas. However, within Romanian specialized literature, very few mentions were made concerning this field of research. The paper tries to analyze the essential elements of communication, taken from the theory of communication and transposes them into the framework of legal sciences. In addition, this study aims to identify the place where such a field of study should be placed, in the spectrum of legal sciences.
