Summary/Abstract: Bibliotheraphy as a process of a dynamic interaction between the reader’s personality and literature has become a subject of both academic and general public reflections.Its attractiveness, and at the same time difficulty of description, is connected with its interdisciplinary nature which smoothly combines study of literature, bibliology, psychology, pedagogy, sociology, philosophy, history, anthropology, and even medical sciences. This article is an attempt to present possibilities of using bibliotherapy in the process strengthening mental and physical health of modern man. The author presents her own “Measurement scale of strengthening through literature” based on the former research done by other Polish and foreign specialists.
