Summary/Abstract: The study questions the relationship between fictional imaginary and nonfictional imaginary in Svetlana Aleksievici's books. We thus discover the particular aesthetic vision of the author. Aleksievici is looking for the reality of the mind as a place of representation, memory and emotion. That is why, especially in the last books, The Chernobyl disaster and Second-hand times, the nonfiction of events is subordinated to a transfiction of emotion and memory.
