Summary/Abstract: Mankind is fascinated by false models. The diversification of the mass media baffles. Using specific methods, the dramatic authors strive to change the system which regulates and confines. The world created this way is reduced to essential features and coordinates, which the playwrights then ridicule. The spectator is stricken at his most sensitive point: the encounter with his own self, with his own fears. Marginal, the theatre of the absurd reveals itself as an intermediate stage, a leap to the definitive theatre.
