PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ACCOUNTANT CHARACTERS IN MOTION PICTURE FILMS: HOLLYWOOD FILMS REVIEW

Summary/Abstract: Aim: The purpose of this study is to determine the personality traits of the accountant characters in the motion picture films. For the purpose, five films from Hollywood movies, one of the leading actors portrayed as an accountant character, were examined. Method: The personalities of the characters in the films are discussed within the scope of personality models (five factor personality, A type and B type personality model), personality darkness (narcissism, Makyavelism and psychopathy) and personality disorders. Findings: As a result of the examinations which are made, it has been determined that the accountant characters in the films have tendency to Type B personality model; silent, calm, responsible and compatible. Results: This is an important indication of how the characters who are performing through screenwriters in the films portraying social life perceived by the society both in terms of personality and the profession.
