Summary/Abstract: The article presents statistical data providing a general view of the book production in the Republic of Moldova in 2011. The data have been taken over from the statistical reports released by the National Book Chamber of Republic of Moldova, institution founded on June, the 1st, 1957 and which has the functions of a national bibliographic agency: ensures the national bibliographic control, develops the National Bibliography, is a Legal Deposit centre, does the cataloguing in publishing (CIP) and has the tasks of a national agency for assigning ISBN, ISMN, ISSN.
