The electronic scientific journals and the alternative patterns of the scientific communication

Summary/Abstract: The electronic communication brings significant benefits for scientists. The changes in information technologies have an influence on the intensity of communication in the scientific environment and modify the paradigm of the scientific communication. The digitization of the scientific journals provide a high potential for scientists to interact and disseminate the scientific information more rapidly. The article presents the results of the survey regarding the scientific communication in the Republic of Moldova. The results of the survey show that the researchers in the Republic of Moldova consider that providing open access to the scientific information is very important, but third of the respondents are not resolute or they do not accept their works to be published in the open access journals or in the digital repositories.
