Summary/Abstract: Prevention of irregular entries of migrants who come from countries which are not memebrs of EU, represents one of the most important aspects of EU borders’ control. This agenda, which is present both on the level of domestic as well as on the level of foreign policy, is manifested by directives, requirements as well as by concrete security measures undertaken within EU, on its external borders, but also extraterritorially, on territories of countries which surround EU or territories of countries the migrants come from. Migrants stay in improvised settlements created on especially fortified parts of migratory routes until they either manage to continue their journey or are caught and sent back.
