Summary/Abstract: The text is a part of a research of how the Bulgarian society during the 19th century (until 1878) was informed about the foreign schools. The author examines the role of the Bulgarian press of the National Revival period for popularizing the secondary and high schools established in the capital city of the Empire. The paper reveals the discrepant attitudes demonstrated by the editions in the capital and in the country about the different foreign schools in Constantinople. The author analyzes the development of the information process in the course of time.
