POSSIBLE MILITARY THREATS IN THE COGNO SPACE

Summary/Abstract: The rapid movement towards the new type of society clearly emerging on the background of this century – the knowledge based society, the epistemic society – creates and nourishes a new type of space – the cogno-space (cognitive space) – and consequently a new type of conflict. The current and future conflicting nature of the world, in its endogenous and even exogenous dimensions, will probably reset both the systems and flows of challenges, hazards and threats and, obviously, those that include vulnerabilities related to these. In other words, the risk to security and the risk to defense, both of them defined on the crossing line between threats and vulnerabilities (R = A ∩ V), especially in their military dimension, will probably know specific dynamics, accompanied by completely new configurations.
