Summary/Abstract: The aim of this experiment is to show how the analyses of rhetorical structure of newspaper literary criticism the novel Derviš i smrt by Meša Selimović – done from the standpoint of the Theory of Rhetorical Structure(TRS) – the theory of text organization by the authors William Mann and Sandra Thompson (1987), reflects discourse functions of newspaper literary criticism – informing and interpretation, in other words, its genre features – news and comments.
