Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to show the benefits flowing from the use of a comparative legal analysisin the translation classes. The comparative microanalysis helps students to develop their domaincompetence and translation strategies in a given situational context and to raise awareness of issuesrelated to the national legal concepts and terminology. To illuminate this subject we present first somefundamental theoretical assumptions in the field of legal translation and provide a short description of methodology using by the legal comparison. According to the Constantinescos Model of a comparativelegal analysis we show then an example how this method can be applied to the Teachinglegal translation.
