Summary/Abstract: Intensity of suicide attacks led me to attempt to treat this, not new in security studies, topic synthetically but also from many different aspects. A suicide bomber again becomes a tool in the hands of terrorist leaders. A tool which has been used during – more or less intense – war conflicts. It can be observed that for over a decade suicide bombers have been used against civilian objects or civilians. Methods are focused on the use of explosives. I would like to emphasize the fact that in the nearest future biological or chemical weapon may become destructive. Nevertheless, the reason and motivation for suicide attacks is equally important. The growing power of ‘Islamic State’, the groups of its frustrated supporters forming themselves in Europe, the development of technology, the access to black market, the growing international turmoil or dynamic structure of modern war – these are some of the reasons to start a discussion about ‘exploring’ suicide terrorism.
