Summary/Abstract: Landscapes evoked in Marguerite Duras’ e Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen’s works. In her novels, dramatic and cinematographic works, Marguerite Duras places us in a crossroad of contemplations, build with memories. The symbolic elements evoked are articulated in harmony with the remembered real landscape. In Sophia, to see and to remember are synonymic forms. Each detail of the landscape is signed and carefully placed in the space and in the time of the memory that is weaved. In this essay we propose to compare the writings of Marguerite Duras and Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen signalizing the way how those authors invite us to an exercise of contemplation, evocating landscapes and memories.
