Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the nature and scale of mortgage brokers activity in Poland and two methods of remuneration (commission from the bank, remuneration from the customer). The hypothesis of the article reads as follows: mortgage brokers in Poland should be rewarded in the form of commissions from banks to reward from customers should only refer to mortgage advisors as a strictly defined group of professionals in the mortgage market operating on behalf of a client and paid by him. The article uses customer research credit intermediaries commissioned by the Conference of Financial Companies in Poland (KPF) and ANG Cooperative Credit Advisors by Maison Research House and on behalf of the Association of Financial Advisors (ZFDF) by Kantar TNS. In addition the author compared the advantages and disadvantages of methods of remuneration of intermediaries of credit from the point of view of the bank, credit intermediary and the customer.
