The Competences of the European Union in Copyright

Summary/Abstract: Intellectual property law, including copyright is a valuable economical and cultural asset. Presently in the EU Member States and the Union are striving to gain bigger shares in the regulatory competence regarding copyright. The study aims at presenting the competences of the EU in the field of copyright, focusing on the division of competences between the EU and its Member States and the principles and process of exercising these competences.
