Summary/Abstract: If we are to talk about linguistic and cultural diversity, we believe that Cameroon or Africa in miniature, as it has been labeled, remains the most representative country. In this article, we aim to analyse the complex statue of French, the way in which it managed to survive despite hundreds of local languages, as well as the impact and the result of this cohabitation.
