The Late 18th-century Deposit Found During the Reconstruction of Holy Trinity Church in Warsaw

Summary/Abstract: The subject of this study is a deposit consisting of seven coinsand one occasional medal from the time of King Stanisław August Poniatowski (1764–1795) which were found in Holy Trinity Church at Małachowski Squarein Warsaw. These numismatic items date back to around 1778–1791. This interesting find has given us an opportunity to rediscover the history of Holy Trinity Church and to thoroughly analyse the silver coins and the medal. It is assumed that the silver artefacts were deposited during the first anniversary of decreeing the Constitution of May 3rd.
