Summary/Abstract: The life of every faithful is conducted under the guidance of religious and moral norms laid down in the Holy Scripture and Holy Tradition as sources of divine Revelation. One should also add the canonical norms. For a catechumen to receive the sacraments of initiation into Christian life (baptism, anointing, communion) or for administering the Sacrament of Communion to a Christian who, through his deeds, turned away from the Church, the time span of canonical rehabilitation is quite long. In some cases, there are exceptions to these rules since canonical regulations do not apply by akribeia, but by oikonomia. In the case of dying person, one cannot speak of exemption from the rules, the norms issued in different cases becoming mandatory for those who receive them, but also for those administering them.
