Summary/Abstract: ssThe National Military Library is appreciated for its prodigious activity to preserve the thesaurus of Romanian and foreign military knowledge. Permanently, this institution pays attention to its traditionalcollections. In its catalogues, printed beginning with 1867 and organized according to the library science concepts and following the models from France and Belgium, the reference works preserved vividly the testimony about some specific categories of documents: chronicles, annals, memoirs, albums, regulations, military publications, etc.It is to mentioned the French edition of the Organic Statute of the Principality of Moldavia (1831), bearing the stamp of the first Romanian military library, set in Iaşi, in 1845.
