Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes the changes in value orientations of young people in the period of the post-socialist transformation in relation to the period prior to the collapse of socialism. The aim of the research is to determine the intensity and direction of change in value orientations: gender inequality, intolerance, nationalism, organicism, religiosity, political and economic liberalism and market fundamentalism. Changes in value orientations are interpreted as the product of the process of social change: modernization, retraditionalization and systemic changes.
