Summary/Abstract: The article presents two pieces belonging to the Pre-Cucuteni culture. The objects were found at Izvoare (Neamţ county), during the archaeological campaign 1988. The first one is represented by the lower part of a great antropomorphical satttuete, empty inside and with an open basis, made in the technique of rims of the flaring vases, typical (as also the decor) to the final phase of the above mentioned culture. The second object presented is an antropomorphical protoma. On this basis, the author is discussing the issue of the antropomorphical vases of the phase A of the Cucuteni culture and the representations of the human figure in the Precucuteni and Cucuteni cultural area. So, her opinion is that the Precucuteni culture had an important role on emerging the Cucuteni culture, but also the fact that it should be taken into account the southern influences (from the Gumelniţa – Karanovo VI cultural area) on trading spiritual goods towards northern zones of Europe.
