Homilies of Saint Gregory Palamas spoken before his Ordination and Installation as Bishop in Thessaloniki

Summary/Abstract: In 1334 – when the first homilies of Gregory Palamas are historical dated, there were probably many of his speeches which are not mentioned in any document. We are entitled to believe that, although Saint Gregory undertook after his ordination an anachoretic way of life, he did not ignored the task of teaching the people of God. This study examines those homilies which might have been spoken by Saint Gregory Palamas before his ordination as archbishop and right before his ascension in the Archbishopric Thron of Thessaloniki.
