Summary/Abstract: The goal of this work is to demonstrate and to prove that the last drama of the great poet John Milton, “Samson Agonistes”, and the original drama of the Albanian writer Fan Noli, “Israelites and Philistines” are part of two different literatures and traditions, but they belong to the European tradition because they derive from the European biblical code. The analogies between these two works are considerable; they have the same inspiration from the legend and from the mythical and biblical parables; they are similar in the recreation of the fable, in the portrayal of characters, in the conflicts, in the atmosphere, and they convey similar messages. Whereas, the dissimilarity consist on the different approaches and attitudes of both authors; they differ in the treatment of the biblical theme and in the artistic and creative style, in the ethics,in the individual and social approach.
