Summary/Abstract: This article deals with selected amendments to the Consumer Credit Act, in particularthe definition of a loan institution and the maximum non-interest costs of credit. These changes are important for entrepreneurs providing consumer credit as well as forconsumers themselves. The method of calculating the maximum non-interest costs ofcredit relates to the provision of cash to the consumer rather than the transfer of funds, which can lead to a number of doubts in the practice of concluding contracts. This articlediscusses the provisions of the Act in an attempt to determine how changes in regulationswill help protect consumers.
