Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this publication is to analyze comparatively the Polish and Americanlegal regulations concerning access to an adopted child by their biological parent.First of all, it is necessary to study if it is possible to create legal family relationship by anagreement within the Polish Family Law. In order to conducting research, it is necessaryto present, in a general outline institution of open adoption and show legal implicationsof concluding postadoption contact agreement. This item of research enables us to answerthe question if this inspiration of the American Law in that issue would be accurate.
