The Paradigm of Four Elements in Antique Science

Summary/Abstract: The article is dealing with the paradigm of four elements in Ancient Greek science and philosophy. It argues that this paradigm is a unifying factor for different parts of Ancient science. Therefore, it serves as a foundation for holistic Ancient Greek science. The article reveals a link among different Ancient sciences of physics, cosmology, mathematics and medicine. The application of the paradigm in different authors is shown. Differences of four elements systems in various sciences are also emphasized. The limits of application are also analyzed.
