Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the basis for issuing a permit to conduct business activity on the financial market in the context of the national security policy. In this paper the role of the administrative decision is explained and the mode of proceedings by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority is analysed. Additionally, the principles restricting the functioning of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority as well as the key aspects of licensing to conduct business activity on the financial market and prudence requirements are characterised.
